Radiology
Services Provided
An x-ray is a common, non-invasive test that has been used for decades to help health care providers view abnormalities of the human anatomy without having to make an incision.
At Tribal Health, basic x-ray technology has become a key element in the identification and diagnosis of many types of medical conditions. X-rays do not have to be ordered by a Tribal Health provider. They can be ordered by any health care provider to look inside the body.
A provider may want to view an area where a patient is experiencing pain, or see the effect of a treatment method. Medical conditions that may call for an x-ray include:
- Arthritis
- Conditions affecting the lungs or digestive problems
- Enlarged heart and infections
- Bone fractures
- Osteoporosis
- Swallowed items
