Services Provided:
Nursing Services staff offer a broad and far-reaching scope of services to eligible Tribal Health recipients. Our community registered nurses and community health representatives work closely with the recipient’s primary care team to provide:
- Chronic illness monitoring and nursing assessments
- Coordination of health care for elders and those requiring comprehensive management
- Communicable disease education, investigation, and reporting
- Maternal-child health care education
- School-linked health services
- Nutrition counseling and education
- Health promotion and disease prevention
- Assistance to obtain durable medical equipment (DME) as ordered by a health care provider
- Transportation within the local community for routine, non-emergency medical appointments
- Attending recipient’s medical appointments to advocate and ensure recipient understanding
- Diabetic foot care
- Immunizations
- Public education regarding health topics as requested
Nursing Services staff are active in the Tribal community leading and participating in events such as:
- Women for Wellness
- Men’s Wellness Fair
- Immunization clinics and other health fairs providing screenings, immunizations, and education
