Tribal Health announces a mass flu clinic and health fair for the community on October 23, 2019.

Those who are eligible for the free, all-ages clinic include:

  1. Tribal Health recipients;
  2. Non-tribal members who reside in the same households as Tribal Health recipients;
  3. And Tribal employees.

The events will be held at the Salish Kootenai College Joe McDonald Gymnasium from

10am - 7pm.  If you have health insurance, please bring your insurance information.

Tribal Council has authorized a 2 hour change of duty for all CSKT employees.  Additionally, a health fair will take place during the flu clinic.  People can attend the fair without getting a flu shot, though the flu vaccination is highly recommended.

Influenza (flu) is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses. It can cause mild to severe illness. Serious outcomes of flu infection can result in hospitalization or death. Some people, such as older people, young children, and people with certain health conditions, are at high risk of serious flu complications.

In Montana, flu season occurs in the fall and winter. The peak season is usually from late November through March.  The best way to prevent flu is by getting vaccinated each year.

Tribal Health recipients who are working to fill up their Own Your Health passes will also get credit for attending the flu clinic and health fair.

Questions about the flu clinic can be directed to Chelsea Kleinmeyer, Tribal Health Nursing Division Director at (406) 745-3525 phone.

Bus shuttles will be available on the day of the flu clinic for recipients to attend.  The bus schedule is as follows:
