Starting on Thursday, April 1, 2021, the Polson and St. Ignatius Pharmacies are expanding operating hours to 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM Monday through Friday.




As of April 1, 2021, Tribal Health Pharmacy has partnered with iLocalBox to make accessing your medications more convenient.


With these new kiosks, located in Arlee and Elmo, Tribal Health patients can pick up medications on their own schedule without having to visit the pharmacy.

New over-the-counter kits are available at any Tribal Health pharmacy to Tribal Health patients (no questions asked) and include:


  • Safer Sex Kit with male condoms, at-home pregnancy test and safe sex tips handout


  • Opioid Overdose Reversal Kit with Narcan nasal spray, Narcan instruction sheet, fentanyl test strips, and test strip instruction sheet


For prescription refills, please call Pharmacy directly at (406) 745-2426 to update phone numbers and mailing addresses. 


Pharmacy will not mail out prescriptions until the most current mailing address is confirmed.  Please allow for approximately 4 days for postal delivery of medications. 


All refill requests need to be done at least 72 hours in advance.

Pharmacy Services:

Distributes drugs prescribed by health care providers.

Makes every effort to ensure that recipients are not without prescriptions. When necessary, please contact the pharmacy directly to request expedited services for needed prescriptions.

Monitors drug-to-drug interaction and contraindications for increased safety of recipients.

Provides information to recipients about medications and their use.

Counsels recipients and works with health care providers on the selection, dosage, interactions, and side effects of medications.

Participates in a state and regional drug registry to report controlled substances.

Manages the automated phone system for prescription ordering.

Mail-order prescription delivery is offered to Tribal members who live in remote communities within the reservation; in Lake, Sanders, Flathead, or Missoula counties; and in places where accessing the Tribal Health pharmacy network is difficult.

Helps coordinate with CSKT transit for those struggling to pick up prescriptions.

Provides courtesy delivery of noncontrolled medications to the Elmo, Ronan, and Arlee health centers.

Offers screenings for bone density, A1C, lipids, and blood pressure through the University of Montana IPH ARM program.

Provides diabetes screening and education.

Provides emergency and after-hours prescriptions by contract in Ronan at Family Health Pharmacy (this service provides only enough medication until the Tribal Health pharmacies open).

Works on a formulary system, selecting specific drugs in therapeutic categories. If recipients have tried and failed a medication in a therapeutic category, they may submit a request to the Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) Committee to request the nonformulary medication.

Provides drop boxes for disposal of unused prescriptions. A large portion of controlled substance abuse involves unused medication acquired by family members and/or acquaintances.

Anyone can dispose of unused medication in the boxes. Restrictions include: illegal drugs, liquids greater than four ounces, sharps containers, needles, syringes, aerosol spray cans, trash, medical devices, chemicals, or other hazardous materials.
