Tribal Health is working closely with local, state and federal agencies regarding the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. To keep Tribal Health patients and health care providers safe,Tribal Health is moving to provide more limited services to continue to support health and wellbeing during this critical time. 
 
 
 
CLOSURES:
 
In an effort to stop the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) Tribal Health has closed the following Health Centers and Fitness Centers until further notice:
  • Hot Springs Health Center 
  • Elmo Health & Fitness Center
  • Salish Kootenai College (SKC) Health Center
  • Ronan Health Center 
  • Arlee Health & Fitness Center
  • St. Ignatius Fitness Center
 
HOURS OF OPERATION:
 
The hours for patient services at the Polson and St. Ignatius Tribal Health Centers are 8:00am - 4:00pm, Monday through Friday.
 
Audiology has limited hours at the St. Ignatius Health Center, on Tuesdays, 9:00am – 1:00pm, for minor repairs, batteries and parts. Patients are asked to call (406) 745–3525 ext. 5010 to schedule with Audiology.

TELEHEALTH SERVICES:
 
Medical, Behavioral Health, Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) Program, and the Diabetes Program will begin offering appointments through TeleHealth Services. Patients are asked to call 406-745-3525 to schedule a TeleHealth appointment and they should also sign up for MyChart to enhance the TeleHealth appointment process.

TRIBAL HEALTH PAID CARE:
 
Medical review and approval will operate on a staggered schedule to minimize exposure.
 
Referrals will be addressed by Teri Burke and Clarice Cooper-Sandue. They will stagger their schedule as follows:
 
Teri will be in on the mornings of Thursday and Friday from 9-12. (ext. 5044)
 
Clarice will be working Monday from 10:30 to 2:30 and Thursday from 1-3. (ext. 5013)
 
Katie Tapia will be in on Fridays from 9-12 (ext. 5055)
 
Rhonda Hendren will be in on Thursdays from 9-12 (ext. 5029)

Audiology:

Dental:

Diabetes Program:
The Diabetes Program will offer appointments through TeleHealth services and staff are also available in the office from 8:00am - 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Patients are asked to call 406-745-3525 to schedule an appointment, and are encouraged to sign up for MyChart to enhance TeleHealth appointments.
 
Health Care Resources:
Patient registration staff and Health Care Resources staff continue to provide services regarding patient registration and assistance. Call 406-745-3525 for more information.
 
Medical:

The Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) Program will offer appointments to existing patients through TeleHealth services. Patients are asked to call 406-745-3525 to schedule a TeleHealth appointment, and should also sign up for MyChart to enhance TeleHealth appointments.
 
Nursing Services:
Community Health is checking on patients by phone, assisting them to connect to needed resources. Because of the pandemic, there are no home visits at this time.
 
Optical:
Services are suspended until further notice with options for TeleHealth appointments available at an upcoming date.
 
Patient Travel Program:
The Patient Travel Program is offering a limited transportation schedule for dialysis patients. Please call 406-745-3525 for more information.
 
Pharmacy:
Patients who utilized the pharmacy pickup services at the Hot Springs, Elmo, Ronan, and Arlee Health Center, will now have medications mailed to them directly.  
 
Patients whose medications will be mailed need to update their phone numbers and addresses for mailing. Please call Pharmacy directly and leave a voicemail at (406) 745-2426 to update phone numbers and mailing addresses. Pharmacy will not mail out prescriptions until the most current mailing address is confirmed. Please allow for approximately 7 days for postal delivery of medications. All refill requests need to be done at least 72 hours in advance.  
 
Curbside service for pickup and drop-off of prescriptions remains at the Polson and St. Ignatius Health Pharmacies.  
 
Physical Therapy:
Services are suspended until further notice with options for TeleHealth appointments available at an upcoming date.
 
Speech Therapy:
Services are suspended until further notice with options for TeleHealth appointments available at an upcoming date.
 
Tobacco Prevention:

COVID-19 symptoms include:

  • runny nose
  • sore throat
  • cough
  • fever
  • difficulty breathing (severe cases)

 

If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, call your health care provider immediately.

 

You can reduce your chances of being infected or spreading COVID-19 by taking some simple precautions:

  • Regularly and thoroughly clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water.
  • Maintain at least 6 feet distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing (social distancing).
  • Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth.
  • Cover your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze. Then dispose of the used tissue immediately.
  • Stay home if you feel unwell. If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention and call in advance.
